This year, Diversified Canada held the premier conference for accounting and finance professionals, Accountex Canada, at the Metro Toronto Convention Center (MTCC) in Downtown Toronto, Ontario. From November 30th to December 1st, 2022, industry professionals were able to discuss new and emerging tech, network, and educate one another.
Accountex is Europe’s top accounting and finance conference and expanded to Canada for the very first time this year. TitanFile was lucky enough to exhibit and have the opportunity to connect with new and familiar faces.
Missed the conference and/or are interested in the top highlights? We’ve compiled a few:
Accountex Canada Exhibit Hall
Accountex Canada was hosted at the MTCC and well attended by many. The exhibit hall boasted 40+ vendors and 450+ attendees over the course of two days. Attendees ranged from individual CPAs and Bookkeepers to mid-size accounting firms. As for exhibitors, products varied from payroll software and forecasting tools to secure client portals.
The TitanFile team showed up and showed out on both days! Our wonderful team, Stephen Chen and Joakim Rodrigues shared insights with attendees on how they can utilize a branded secure client portal to effectively and securely share confidential documents with clients online. Additionally, some familiar faces came by the booth to say hello and we were happy to see you!
To show our gratitude to those at the event, we announced our licensing discount for Accountex Attendees – 33% off of an annual subscription to help lessen the stress of tax season.
How a Secure Portal Can Help Streamline Tax Season for Canadian Accountants
On Thursday, December 1st, 2022, TitanFile’s Director of Business, Victor Abou-Assaleh, hosted an informative session on the topic of secure client portals and streamlining tax season. As a professional in the business for over 10 years, Victor demonstrated the hardships of sharing sensitive information online and how streamlining this process can be effective and secure for accounting professionals.
Our Top Takeaway from Accountex 2022
Security is at top of the mind for accountants this tax season
Since the onset of the pandemic, cybercrime has increased tenfold. Once the majority of workers started working from home, that meant more information started being shared online, rather than outdated methods like faxing, USBs, etc. This posed a great opportunity for cyber attackers.
Now, accountants are looking for file-sharing solutions that prioritize the security of their confidential documents. Having a secure portal that is encrypted end-to-end, meets compliance standards, and most importantly, keeps Canadian data hosted in Canada is a top priority this tax season.
How TitanFile is Helping Accountants and Finance Professionals
TitanFile understands that tax season can be stressful for accounting professionals. That’s why, at Accountex Canada, we held a booth to showcase how accountants and finance professionals can ditch old practices such as email, courier, and in-person drop-off and adopt a modern secure client portal to communicate with their clients instead.
TitanFile’s Secure Portal gives accounting and finance professionals access to:
- An intuitive custom-branded client portal for both you and your clients
- Canadian data residency with best-in-class security
- Send and receive messages, files, and folders anytime from anywhere
- SOC 2 Type 2, PIPEDA, ISO 27001 Compliance
- E-signature integration
- Canadian pricing
- Unlimited storage
