For the second year in a row, TitanFile will be showcasing at Communitech’s Techtoberfest, but this time we’re going to do it a little differently!
Running on October 17 and 18, “the best celebration of entrepreneurship around” falls right in the thick of Cyber Security Awareness Month. As ambassadors of privacy and security, TitanFile aims to bring these two compelling events together.
Every year, both Canada and the United States host various events to engage and educate the public about Internet security. With the ultimate goal of decreasing cyber crime around the world, TitanFile staff is looking to extend their knowledge and expertise to help those in our community.
It is a known fact that cyber security affects everyone. On October 4th, 2.9 million Adobe users got an email making them aware of a cyber attack on their customer data. Everything from passwords to emails to possible credit card information was breached.
We at TitanFile, care about your ability to cope with these unfortunate occurrences.
Throughout the event, our booth will be acting as an information station on anything related to cyber security. You can’t miss us – we’ll be wearing the bright green shirts – and our helpful staff will be happy to chat.
Find out how to determine whether your favourite websites are secure, check if your current data is at risk for cyber fraud, learn what steps to take after one of your accounts has been hacked and much, much more.
So come out and support your local startups! Learn about cyber security, hear from world renowned entrepreneurs like Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, connect with other companies, mentors, investors and don’t forget a little Ziggy Zaggy Ziggy Zaggy, Oi Oi Oi!
We hope to see you there!
